Tar Heels Headed For White House
Posted Jun 23, 2008
The UNC field hockey team, winner of the 2007 NCAA Championship, will celebrate its title again this week, not far from the spot of its victory last November. On Tuesday, the squad will visit the White House along with 19 other NCAA Champions from the 2007-08 school year. Following a tour of the White House, the team will pose for a photo with President George Bush, who will then speak to all of the teams at a ceremony on the South Lawn.
