“I said before the season started, some days we’re going to be pretty good, some days we’re going to be pretty ugly,” Roy Williams said. “(Sunday) was one of those days I thought we were pretty ugly.” In an 88-77 non-league victory against visiting Valparaiso, the sixthranked Tar Heels looked like a team that’s breaking in four starters and relying on several players taking part in their third college game.
