Tony Shaver's William and Mary team gets second ACC win
Posted Dec 31, 2009
With marquee wins over Wake Forest and Virginia Commonwealth already under its belt, William and Mary entered Maryland with confidence Wednesday night, looking to extend one of the best starts in school history. The Tribe took control late in the first half, then continued to pull away for a 83-77 victory in front of a stunned 16,418 at the Comcast Center. W&M (9-2) extended its winning streak to nine games, one short of tying the school record set by the 1929-30 team.
