Ex-NC State coach Amato has cancer

Former Florida State assistant and NC State head coach Chuck Amato has confirmed that he will undergo treatment due to a cancerous spot located on his tonsil, Florida State announced on Wednesday. Thanks in large part to an early detection, a full recovery is expected, and he should be ready to work again in six weeks if anyone "is looking for a great coach." (ESPN.com)
