UAB begins to prepare for North Carolina

UAB whipped N.C. State, 72-52, in a NIT second round game on Saturday in front of a crowd of 4,096 at Bartow Arena. Now you want the big news? North Carolina is coming to Bartow Arena. The Blazers will play host to the Tar Heels on Tuesday night in a NIT quarterfinal game. The game will begin at 8 p.m. and will be telecast nationally on ESPN. The line for tickets was at least 200 people deep more than an hour after the game. (Birmingham News)
