UNC likely headed for Independence or Military Bowl

North Carolina has known since Oct. 29 it was bowl-eligible. The Tar Heels beat Wake Forest 49-24 that day to reach the requisite six-win level for postseason eligibility. But they hit a slump in November, losing their first two games of the month. That would seem to mean the Tar Heels will be headed to Shreveport, La., for the Independence Bowl or to Washington, D.C., for the Military Bowl. (Fox Sports Carolinas)
