South Carolina's defensive line in race to prepare for UNC’s pace

Getting off to a quick start is the hope of every football team, but it will be a requirement for the University of South Carolina defense in its season opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3. “They’re one of the fastest teams in the country as far as running plays,” co-defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward said of the Tar Heels. “Oregon might be the only team in the country faster.”
