On paper, it looks like a terrible matchup. Abu Lamin sees it as something else entirely. “This is an opportunity to make everybody know that South Carolina is ready to play,” the Gamecocks’ junior defensive tackle said of Thursday’s season opener against North Carolina in Charlotte. “This is a different team. We’re ready to show the world this is not the same Carolina.”
