Carter High fans hail premiere of producer Greg Ellis' movie about ’80s football team


Carter High School students, alumni and supporters attended the Dallas opening of a film about their beloved school. Carter High takes place in the 1980s, when the school’s powerhouse football team was on its way to a state championship season. Then, controversy about eligibility and a robbery scandal rocked the community. The team was portrayed as the villain in the 2004 film Friday Night Lights. (Dallas Morning News)
