UNC Wrestling Releases 2024-25 Schedule

Entering year two under head coach , the UNC wrestling program announced its 2024-25 schedule Wednesday. The schedule features matchups with eight top-25 programs from last season's final NWCA coaches poll: Nebraska (3), Iowa State (5), Ohio State (6), NC State (7), Virginia Tech (13), Stanford (20), Oregon State (21), and Pitt (23). Sunday saw the closing ceremony and the end of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Throughout the games, we’ve been keeping track of some of the North Carolina Tar Heels who competed there and came away with medals. Two-time NCAA Champion Vincenzo Joseph Joins UNC Wrestling Staff

Two-time NCAA champion Vincenzo Joseph has joined the North Carolina wrestling staff as the program's recruiting coordinator, coach announced Thursday. In his new role with the Tar Heels, Joseph will assist the program in team travel, on-campus recruiting, match day planning and operations, donor relations and all program related events. Ethan Ramos Set to Make History as First UNC Wrestler in Olympics

Former UNC wrestler Ethan Ramos will make history Thursday as the first Tar Heel wrestler to compete in the Summer Olympics. Ramos will represent Puerto Rico in the 87kg Freestyle bracket. Lachlan McNeil talks Austin O'Connor's leadership and trajectory as O'Connor starts MMA career

UNC Tar Heel Lachlan McNeil was able to share the UNC banner alongside Austin O’Connor for two years and saw how O’Connor was able to do just that, pulling in UNC Wrestling’s first National Championship since TJ Jaworsky’s final title in 1995. “He did a lot,” McNeil said. “Obviously, he led by example and that’s the biggest thing I could say."
