Shirts give Tar Heels inspiration
Posted Mar 31, 2006
If the Lady Tar Heels' need inspiration, they can turn to their t-shirt with the Final Four logo on the front. On the back is the phrase, "Burn the boat." "It's about a story Coach Hatchell told us about a captain going to take over an island," said UNC's Erlana Larkins before the Tar Heels left for Boston on Thursday afternoon. "They burn the boat so his soldiers wouldn't have anywhere to retreat to. It was either fight or die."
