Notebook: Larkins comes up big for UNC
Posted Mar 27, 2006
As is her pre-game custom, Erlana Larkins took a swig of honey right before North Carolina tipped off against Purdue on Sunday afternoon. The pick-me-up had its desired result. Larkins had a solid first half, teaming with LaToya Pringle to anchor a semi-adrift Tar Heel team. Larkins had 14 points at the break, while Pringle chipped in eight more. In the end, Larkins finished with 23 points to impress her teammates in UNC's 70-68 win over the Boilermakers.
