No. 1 UNC field hockey breezes past William & Mary, 4-0, in first round of NCAAs

The No. 1 North Carolina field hockey team easily disposed of William & Mary on Friday afternoon at Karen Shelton Stadium, defeating the Tribe, 4-0. Senior back Ashley Hoffman led the way with two goals. The win pushes Carolina one step closer to a 10th consecutive Final Four. The Tar Heels are hoping to win their first National Championship since 2009.
