Ike Freeman, Will Sandy Shine as No. 5 UNC Baseball takes down Xavier 12-3


No. 5 North Carolina extended its nation's-best home win streak to 19 games after defeating Xavier 12-3 Friday in the season opener. Freshman picked up the win for the Tar Heels after pitching 4.2 innings, allowing one hit, and giving up no runs while striking out five. Ike Freeman went 4-for-5 at the plate with a solo home run and four RBI. (GoHeels.com)
