Portland Thorns midfielder Tobin Heath named NWSL Player of the Week

Portland Thorns midfielder Tobin Heath has been named the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Player of the Week. Heath, 30, used her technical skill to tally a goal and an assist in Portland’s season-opening 2-0 win over the Orlando Pride at on Sunday. Heath has 22 career assists for the Thorns, which is tied for the most in NWSL history.
