Outside of baseball circles, “kinematic sequence” and “rotational velocity” sound like biology buzzwords that hopefully, for most of us, will not be on the test. Even inside baseball circles, the popularity of these terms only spread recently and rapidly. They took center stage Friday in the Angels’ bullpen, where Matt Harvey was hooked up to a pair of 4D Motion sensors.
