No. 1 UNC Field Hockey Shuts Out No. 5 Virginia, 5-0


Top-ranked North Carolina earned a shutout in a top-five field hockey battle Friday evening, beating No. 5 Virginia 5-0 at UVa's Turf Field (Highlights). The Tar Heels improve to 8-0 overall and 2-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play with the win, while the Cavaliers fell to 7-2 (1-1 ACC). Coach missed Friday's game because of a family wedding.
