Daniel Bard signs with Rockies in comeback attempt

Former Red Sox reliever Daniel Bard has signed a minor-league deal with the Rockies. Bard, who received an invitation to major league camp, is mounting a comeback attempt after retiring in 2018. A first-round pick by the Red Sox out of North Carolina in 2006, Bard was one of the game’s best relievers in 2010, posting a 1.93 ERA in 74 ? innings.
