Food Lion donates $500,000 to UNC Health for COVID-19 research

Food Lion announced this week a $3.1 million donation to feed those who are in need and to help its neighbors who are affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The company also has made a $500,000 donation to fund medical research at UNC Health, where UNC School of Medicine scientists are working to develop treatments and vaccines for COVID-19.
