North Carolina (20-18, 14-13) fell to No. 15 UNC Charlotte (30-11, 17-3), 4-1, in extra innings on Tuesday evening on Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium (Highlights). The Tar Heel pitching staff was impressive- led by Gage Gillian, who threw 3.1 scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Carolina's biggest opportunity at the plate came in the sixth inning.
