Posted May 2, 2021
UNC (20-21, 14-16) fell 19-5 to No. 8 Notre Dame on Sunday. The 19 runs surrendered were the most Carolina had given up since giving up 19 runs against Georgia Tech on May 12, 2001. Max Riemer was impressive in his first start behind the plate and finished the day 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a double. He also threw out two runners attempting to steal a base.
