Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager retires after 11 seasons

Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager, who is coming off a career season in which he set highs for home runs and RBI, is retiring after an 11-year career. Seager, 34, had 35 home runs and 101 RBIs last season for Seattle, where he spent his entire MLB career. Overall, the former UNC standout had 242 homers, 807 RBI, and a .251 batting average.
