When B.J. Surhoff was a freshman at UNC in spring 1983, little Brian Roberts was 5 years old. His teammate now with the first-place Baltimore Orioles, Surhoff never saw this coming: The little switch-hitting kid has become the biggest story of the first month of the baseball season.
