Freshman third baseman Chad Flack homered in both the first and second innings and drove in a career-best seven runs as No. 8 North Carolina cruised to a 13-5 win over Winthrop at Boshamer Stadium, where the Tar Heels need just one victory to tie the single-season school record for home wins.
