Top seed North Carolina opens the ACC Field Hockey Tournament on Wednesday, taking on No. 5 seed Syracuse at 1 p.m. at Duke's Jack Katz Stadium. Wake Forest and Virginia meet in the second semifinal and the winners play Friday for the ACC championship.
