Erin Matson is the best field hockey player in UNC history, and arguably college history. In 2021, ACC Network named her as one of the top female athletes in conference history. She has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Year five years in a row, making her the only player in ACC history to hold this accolade for five straight years in any sport.
