Daniel Bard to compete in World Baseball Classic

Former UNC pitcher Daniel Bard will take the mound for Team USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic. Bard will be used as a relief pitcher, continuing his amazing comeback story. Bard finished last season with a 6-4 record and a 1.79 ERA. He appeared in 57 games, pitching 60 innings with 34 saves in 37 opportunities for the Rockies.
