scored 22 points in her first career start to spark No. 14 North Carolina to a 73-55 win over Boston College on Sunday. McPherson, a redshirt freshman who missed her first season rehabbing a high school knee injury and the first 20 games this season because of a lower-body injury, was 4-of-7 from 3-point range in just her fifth game.
