UNC Field Hockey exploded for a season-high six goals, all before halftime, to earn a home victory Sunday at Karen Shelton Stadium, 6-1 over Appalachian State (Highlights). The Tar Heels improved to 7-1 in the first meeting with the Mountaineers since the 2019 season. Freshman Sanne Hak scored her first and second goals as a Tar Heel.
