No. 1 UNC Field Hockey Downs No. 11 Boston College, 3-1, Friday


The No. 1 UNC field hockey team earned its third conference win of the season Friday, beating No. 11 Boston College 3-1 at Stadium (Highlights). Charly Bruder scored twice and Paityn Wirth added another for Tar Heels, who improved to 9-1 overall and 3-0 in ACC play. UNC returns to action on Sunday, hosting No. 10 Liberty for a 2 p.m. game.
