Casey Nogueira Named Progress Energy Performer of the Week

Forward Casey Nogueira earned MVP honors in leading the women's soccer team to its 19th ACC Tournament championship and is the Progress Energy Tar Heel Performer of the Week for November 3-9, 2008. Nogueira, a junior from Raleigh, won both ACC Offensive Player of the Year honors and Tournament MVP honors during the week as the Tar Heels swept to their fourth ACC Tourney title in a row.
