UNC Alum Zena Cardman Is Headed to Space

A Carolina alumna has been named mission commander for a NASA flight to the International Space Station. Zena Cardman ’10 (MS ’14) will lead the mission aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, with crewmembers Nick Hague, Stephanie Wilson and Aleksandr Gorbunov. The mission is scheduled for no earlier than August. This is Cardman’s first mission.
