No. 15 UNC Baseball Beats Rutgers To Extend Winning Streak

Luke Stevenson belted a two-run, pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning to give No. 15 North Carolina a three-run lead, and UNC held on for a 9-8 win over Rutgers on Wednesday. Rutgers made it a one-run game in the ninth, but UNC reliever Matt Poston retired the next two batters to preserve the win. The Tar Heels (16-2) have won 11 straight.
