Erin Matson still hopes to be an Olympian, but she’s ‘living my dream’ coaching UNC

After Team USA clinched a spot in the 2024 Paris Games, Erin Matson, whose Tar Heels won the NCAA Field Hockey title last November in her first season at the helm, wanted to make a push for a tryout spot with the Olympic team. To get back into competing, the 24-year-old played in the Indoor Pan American Cup from March 19-22 in Calgary, Canada.
