Former UNC women's basketball standout Sylvia Crawley Spann entering Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame


At UNC, Spann had a stellar college career, accumulating 1,158 points, 582 rebounds, 124 blocks, and 98 steals. Her exceptional talent and dedication led the team to the NCAA Division I National Championship during her senior season. She left an indelible mark on the university, with her No. 00 jersey being retired in her honor in 2000. (Weirton Daily Times)
