It hasn’t been an easy ride for the North Carolina Tar Heels to this point. Righthander , projected to be the team’s Opening Day starter, was lost for the season due to injury in the preseason. Freshman stepped up to fill that void early but suffered a season-ending injury himself in early April. UNC has persisted through the adversity. (Baseball America)
