Gavin Gallaher’s Walk-Off Grand Slam Sends UNC Past Long Island in NCAA Opener

Gavin Gallaher to the rescue, as UNC refused to give in Friday. The Tar Heels roared back from a three-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth inning, rallying past Long Island 11-8 and winning on Gallaher's grand slam to survive this shaky NCAA Tournament opener at Boshamer Stadium. The freshman Gallaher homered twice and drove in six runs.
