UNC infielder Alex Madera goes from D3 Arcadia to UNC hero with ‘best feeling of my life’ moment

The biggest moment of UNC’s magical baseball season became the best moment of Alex Madera’s life Monday. With two outs and two on in the 10th inning of a tie game against defending national champion LSU, Madera went to the plate for his second huge at-bat of the evening. After working the count full, Madera looked and hoped for a fastball. He got it.
