It had been one week since Vance Honeycutt had walked the Diamond Heels off in their super regional opener against West Virginia. So, of course, that meant he was due for another — this time in the College World Series. UNC’s star centerfielder smacked a single over the heads of Virginia infielders on Friday afternoon to earn Carolina the 3-2 win.
