UNC Golfer Megan Streicher Wins Carolinas Amateur


Megan Streicher, a rising junior at UNC, birdied the 16th hole to take a one-shot lead and held on to win the 98th Carolinas Women's Amateur Wednesday at the Pine Island Country Club in Charlotte. Streicher shot 71-66 for 5-under 137, a stroke better than Sydney Roberts of Chesnee, S.C. The South Africa native birdied three of the first six holes. (GoHeels.com)
