No. 2 UNC Field Hockey Opens Season With Win At No. 12 Michigan

The No. 2-ranked UNC field hockey team opened its season Friday evening with a 4-1 win at Michigan in ACC/Big Ten Challenge play at the Wolverines' Ocker Field. After a scoreless first quarter, the Tar Heels (1-0) scored twice in the second, spotted UM a goal just after halftime, then added additional goals in the third and fourth, all from different scorers.
