Tar Heels who have graced the silver screen, ahead of Sunday's Academy Awards: won best actress as Nurse Ratched in best picture "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" (1976). starred in "A Face in the Crowd" (1957) and “No Time for Sergeants” (1958) before becoming better known for "The Show" and "Matlock."
