4 Years Into NIL Era, College Cash Gaining On NBA/NFL Money

Beginning with the 2025-26 season, for the first time in history, even some projected first-round draft picks will be able to make as much money (and sometimes more) as college athletes than they would make as first-year pros in the NBA or the NFL. In college basketball, Texas Tech forward JT Toppin reportedly will receive approximately $4 million in NIL.
