Levi Michael gets a jump on college

The original plan had Levi Michael at home in Welcome, preparing for his senior high school baseball season and maybe taking a few college prep courses. Instead, the switch-hitting infielder finds himself adapting to dorm life a month after turning 18, taking four classes at North Carolina and preparing for his ninth collegiate start at second base today when the third-ranked Tar Heels play Gardner-Webb.
