Alex White looking for consistency
Posted Mar 26, 2009
Junior right-hander Alex White is the ace of fifth-ranked UNC's pitching staff, the 2008 ACC pitcher of the year and an All-American. He's off to a 4-0 start for the Tar Heels. Though happy to be undefeated, the 6-foot-3, 200-pounder isn't satisfied. "I don't feel like I've pitched very well this year," White said Friday after giving up five runs in seven innings in the Tar Heels' 8-5 victory over Duke. "It gives me motivation."
