Report: Daniel Bard Headed To Big Leagues

Former North Carolina standout Daniel Bard will join the Boston Red Sox for tonight's game against Tampa Bay at 8:05 p.m. on ESPN, according to the Providence Journal. No official announcement has come from the Red Sox, but when added to the roster, Bard will become the fourth former Tar Heel active in the majors, joining former 2004 Carolina teammates Chris Iannetta (Rockies) and Andrew Miller (Marlins) and Brian Roberts (Orioles).
