Tar Heels lefty strikes out 49ers

With little margin for error in eighth-ranked North Carolina's 4-1 baseball win against Charlotte on Tuesday night, Brian Moran appeared the perfect choice for an imperfect situation. The 49ers loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the third inning and appeared ready to break the game open. That's when Tar Heels coach Mike Fox elected to pull starter Patrick Johnson for Moran.
