Levi Michael Named Freshman All-American

Less than six months after graduating early from North Davidson High School, North Carolina freshman second baseman Levi Michael was honored Wednesday with a spot on the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team, as selected by Collegiate Baseball newspaper. The Welcome, N.C., native has been the Tar Heels' starting second baseman for all but one game this season and is batting .293 with 13 home runs.
