Tar Heels' top pitcher deals with nagging health problems

A blister on his index finger and a sore hamstring. That's not North Carolina pitcher Alex White's preferred postseason combination. "I'm not going to be on the mound Saturday unless I'm 100 percent and I'm sure I will be," White said. The Tar Heels intend to have their ace throwing in the opener of the best-of-3 NCAA super regional against East Carolina, which arrives from White's hometown of Greenville.
