Marlins notebook: Ex-starter Miller to boost bullpen
Posted Aug 29, 2009
The Marlins' bullpen will get a boost next week from two starting pitchers. Left-hander Andrew Miller and right-hander Rick VandenHurk, both of whom spent time in the starting rotation this season, will be among the six or seven players the Marlins will call up. Miller, on the minor- league disabled list with a sprained right ankle, allowed one hit in three scoreless innings Friday in a rehab start for the Gulf Coast League.
